I won’t lie, this was originally supposed to be for October but I didn’t get it up in time so I had to delay it a month. That being said, I am still in love with all the pieces I found last month so there was no way I couldn’t share them. Let me know what your favorite thing is in the comments!
- Not My Circus, Not My Monkeys Pillow: I tend to get a little too over involved at work, including in things where I don’t need to be involved. The last thing I need is to create more work for myself. I’ve taken to repeating this mantra to myself whenever I find myself itching to get involved in somewhere I don’t need to be. For that reason, and because these Furbish Studios pillows are punchy and adorable, I think I need this pillow. Also, I am loving the resurgence of needlepoint and I think this pillow needs an additional round of applause for that.
- Gem Bracelet: I was originally smitten when I saw this bracelet by Tonya Malmed but with that price tag I didn’t feel like I could recommend it. I searched for an alternate, and while this isn’t the same I thought this gold cuff with colored gemstones was a fun riff on the diamond studded gold bangle of my dreams.
- Letitia Rouget Tulip Candelabra: I think this tulip inspired candelabra is equal parts fun and striking. It is an art piece all on it’s own without taking itself too seriously.
- Kate Spade Pink Ice Bucket + Scoop: Perfectly feminine and ideal for a small gathering for a Sunday morning brunch at home.
- Brass Swan Hair Clips: This is on my list of “if I do a really good job at work I’ll buy myself a nice present list” and while I don’t want to condone rewarding yourself with food or material goods, sometimes you need a little treat.
- Frame + Matchbook Print: I love this little Furbish flower printed frame, here I’ve shown it with a matchbook print which arI find charming.
- Cocktail Napkins: My love affair with printed and/or embroidered napkins continues, this time with a bright blockprint pattern and a coordinating edge binding. These ones are smaller and marketed as coasters which is so dang cute.
- Nap Dress: I just bought this dress thinking I could wear it for Thanksgiving with a lace top layered underneath, little did I know they have extended shipping times right now so I will be coming up with a plan B for what to wear. However, still really looking forward to getting this dress as I think it’s super cute.
- Purple Bowl: I think this bowl is just gorgeous (albeit smaller than I thought it originally was), at the size of approximately a cereal bowl — it won’t make the perfect fruit bowl but it is perfect as a fancy soup bowl or as an individual styling piece stacked on top of a pile of coffee table books.
- Teapot: Gahhh Kit Kemp’s mythical creatures line with Wedgwood is to-die-for. I am a big fan of tea so I selected the teapot to display here but any of the serving pieces or dinnerware items from that same line are incredible.
- Simon Pearce Vase: I love the colors in this vase, it’s the perfect thing to brighten up a small space.
- Oyster Plate: I told myself that I was going to start collecting vintage oyster plates, as of now I have exactly one (it is a really gorgeous Limoges pink and purple piece though, passed down to me from my grandmother). I always have my eyes peeled though when I go antiquing for plates to join my “collection” while this piece is really simple, there is something calming about the blue edging that makes it still feel elevated.
- Tatcha Lip Mask: I am usually a Laneige fan because I love the gummy bear scent, but I also love Tatcha products so when I saw their lip mask I knew it must be good.
- Bright Checked Scarf: The colors of this scarf are bold but the pattern is classic, ideal for brightening up a dreary winter day.
- Ombre Lampshade: I saw these lampshades in a home decor boutique store in Georgetown and absolutely fell in love. I think I might have to get a pair. I don’t have the right lamp bases to put them on but that can come later. I would find a way to make these work in my home that is how much I love them.
- Loopy Purple Fruit Bowl: While the other purple bowl pictured here isn’t big enough to be an ideal fruit bowl, this one is. The looping design is whimsical and the lilac is perfectly punchy and feminie.
