With the days getting shorter, I am in a full fall mood, which means I am cooking more and spending more time at home in my kitchen so I want it to look and feel nice and cozy. If you want to give the gift of a cozy kitchen this season, look no further.
- Wooden Pepper Mill: Okay, so perhaps this isn’t the most exciting gift but it is such a big upgrade from a plastic single use pepper grinder, that you will feel fancy every time you use it, it’s pretty enough to leave out within easy reach. Also available as a salt mill but I prefer my salt in a salt cellar for easy pinching.
- Creamer: You can sometimes find french made creamers and pottery-pieces like this at antique stores and I just love feeling like this is a little bit of history you can bring into your home.
- Olive Oil Bottle: Olive oil is best stored in a bottle where light can’t affect it so ditch those clear-glass cruets in exchange for this beautiful bottle that will look styling on your countertop.
- Two Sided Wooden Spoon: Wooden spoons seem to either be a love em or hate em cooking utensil. I for one, love wooden spoons and I am very particular about them. This one I love because not only is it two sided but the second side is a tiny tasting spoon which I find adorable.
- Utensil Crock: I’ve spoken before about how I am on the hunt for the perfect utensil crock, this one is a one-of-a-kind piece that was sold soon after I saw it and I’ve been searching for one like it since, its drool worthy.
- Pottery Spoon Rest: Keep your counters clean (or cleaner) with a handy spoon rest. Look for pottery rests if you want a rustic vibe. If you want something a little more modern look for a metal option. For a touch of whimsy, look for a floral ceramic like me.
- Speckled White Condiment Bowl: I am a fan of sauces and of ice cream, so you cannot imagine my love for tiny bowls. These recently sold out but search for min en piece bowls to find similar.
- Clay Mixing Bowl: I like to think of the items on this guide as pretty enough to be displayed on open shelving but useful enough to be the perfect thing to put on an open shelf (because we love things that are easy reach and beautiful). This mixing bowl is one of those things that looks like decor but is also dead useful.
- Vintage Jug: My aunt always keeps a jug of water on the table at dinners and that is a trait I would like to carry into my own future of entertaining. Get a small collection of pretty water jugs to go with any table setting.
- Mini Pie Dishes: Perfect for when you are craving pie but don’t want to make too much.
- Copper Dairy Bowl: Copper dairy or milk bowls are so pretty and perfect for whipping creams and with the little brass loop are perfect for hanging from wall mounted hanging rails.
- Herb Shears: Snip off a sprig of rosemary or a few basil leaves from your garden with these pretty little kitchen shears.
- Whisk: The accent of blue on this whisk is reminiscent of quaint, small-town diners and makes me want a fresh stack of pancakes, which who wouldn’t want to be reminded of tasty breakfast foods when they see their whisk every morning.
- Vintage Painting: Because a kitchen is an entire environment and is about more than just the tools and utensils, add this painting for a touch of ambience.
- Lidded Pot: Perfect for storing baking ingredients or spices.
- Heritage Wooden Spoons: My love for wooden spoons continue, perhaps these are less practical than your everyday wooden spoons but so pretty.
- Checkered Mug: The shape of a mug is so important, the wider the mouth the quicker whatever hot beverage is in the mug cools off. This one with its wide belly and narrow mouth is ideal for keeping your coffee or tea hot longer.
