I remember as a child, I used to think the best Mother’s Day gift was breakfast in bed. My sisters and I would clamor over who got to prepare what. As an adult, and knowing my mother is an early riser and hates messes, I can see how maybe this wasn’t the ideal gift for her. But, we also didn’t have a pretty breakfast in bed tray which would have made the presentation of this ‘gift’ better. Breakfast in bed isn’t just exclusively for Mother’s Day though, pick up some of the essentials to make any weekend special or treat yourself for the matter.
- Colorful Flatware: This flatware comes in a variety of colors, pick a set in one color or in a few coordinating colors like shown.
- Rimmed Plates: The black rim on these plates gives them an elevated look but they are also simple enough for everyday use.
- Rattan Coffee Carafe: Amanda Lindroth does it again. Coffee carafes generally are stainless steel eyesores but wrap it in some rattan and suddenly it feels chic (and practical). Fulfill all your brunch hosting dreams with a pair of these to set out on the table and keep guests cups full.
- Champagne Flutes: No explanation required on why these make sense for breakfast in bed, but the etched flower motif gives them a feminine edge.
- Fleur de Lis Juice Glass: A like a heavy bottom glass that is less prone to tipping like this. The fleur-de-lis pattern makes these feel timeless.
- Tea Cup: I am obsessed with this china pattern, I particularly like the pink color ways but these green with blue look incredible with this green tray table.
- Green Tray Table: Everything about this table is perfection, the color, the shape, the high-gloss finish. *Chef’s kiss*
- Bud Vase: I love the addition of flowers on a breakfast tray and keeping it to a small little bud vase with a single flower or two means it doesn’t take up any precious real estate.
- Salt + Pepper Shakers: These painted egg-shaped salt and pepper shakers are pretty and I love a little pattern mixing between these and the printed napkins.
- Ruffle Creamer + Sugar Bowl: Perfectly simple for everyday use but with a ruffle shape to set them apart from the crowd.
- Fruit Dish: Serve up fresh fruit in these dessert cups for an added treat.
- Syrup Dispenser: Syrup dispensers have been another thing that aren’t classically attractive, this vintage pink dispense kind of makes them cute. A small creamer is also a great stand in to dispense syrups.
- Napkins: I love a block printed napkin and these green ones perfectly color coordinate with this palette.
