I put together a home decor collection of pieces that I think mesh well together to celebrate it being Friday. Cheers, everyone!
- Silver Candlesticks: On their own these are a little glam. Mix them with some more natural materials (think plaster and vintage finishes) and you’ll be fine. Keep the tapers a simple white to not overdo it.
- Black and White Stitched Pillow: White pillows can be worrisome, but the design on this was too pretty to pass up. For a simple one-off accent pillow, it is perfect.
- Black Pillar Candle Holders: These have a distressed vintage finish which I like because it makes a home feel more lived in. I strongly believe that most things in the home shouldn’t be too precious. Mix these up with a different color or texture pillar candle, although you can’t beat a classic off-white. (check here for a pillar candle recommendation).
- Black and White Raffia Vase: Charlie Sprout has some really unique vases with different arrangements, shapes, and colors of raffia sprouts. I went with a more subdued black and white vase to let the material speak. The colorful ones would be really fun in a more bohemian space or a kids room.
- Beaded Handle Vase: Even thought the handles are purely decorative the idea that this looks like it is macrame with beaded handles is really cute. The draped beaded handle look is really what sold me.
- Smoked Amber Glass Decanter: The masculinity of the dark amber glass is offset by a delicate detailing around the bottle. I love that this piece is different from your typical clear decanter and calls attention to itself.
- Face Vases: These are fun and the fact that they are a relatively flat means they don’t take up too much space. Sold individually but collect all three for a bold arrangement.
- Horse Sculpture: A little more tribal than I typically go for but I think it has some visual interest. The neutral color balances out the funky shape.
- Mohair Boucle Blanket: Mohair, boucle, and blankets are three of my favorite things. No surprise that this throw is a perfect camel-colored combination of three awesome things.
- Crackled Vase: I centered this collection around this showstopper vase. At a glance the color almost make this appear metallic, instead it’s a glazed ceramic which I also love.
- Gucci-Inspired Vintage Flower Ashtray: I love this as a decorative piece but as it’s original use it was great for parties because you could pull apart the leaves for multiple people to have their own ashtray.
- Rattan Tray: I typically go for a more traditional rattan tray but this two-tone tray ups the ante. The metal handles also are a little more comfortable to grip than they would be if they were also rattan wrapped.
- Shaped Candle: I think I would be nervous burning an un-contained candle, pop this on a tray and problem solved. Get a few of the different shapes and sizes of these candles and have a decorative collection.
