With warmer weather teasing us, I’ve been thinking about summer and the types of foods that come with warmer weather, namely fresh seafood. My grandmother has a couple of beautiful oyster plates that I was admiring that inspired the theme for this guide.
- Cocktail Napkins: I’ve shared these napkins before because I am just obsessed with them and love the embroidery, these ones are particularly on theme featuring oysters and lemon wedges.
- Duralex Shooter Glasses: Oyster shooters anyone?
- Shucking Knife: If you are truly old school and also do your own shucking this is an heirloom quality shucking knife to be brought out for special occasions.
- Metal Oyster Plate: Pre-cool a metal plate like this to help keep your oysters chilled when serving.
- Oyster Shell Spoons: These oyster shapes spoons are cute for serving up tastings of oysters in different styles, they are also great for serving up other small bites.
- Silver Oyster Forks: Another staple to have in your arsenal is a few oyster forks, Weston Table has an assortment of traditional silver oyster forks.
- Oyster Book: Get to know a little bit more about what you are consuming with this guide to different types of oysters.
- Cocktail Sauce: I am not gonna lie, I am a basic Heinz girly when it comes to cocktail sauce, but I looked up some highly rated cocktail sauces and I might have to try this Stonewall kitchen one because, like with hot sauce, having some variety is nice.
- Whale Spoon: Serve up the cocktail sauce with this thematically appropriate what shaped spoon.
- Painted Oyster Plate: Weston Table has so many beautiful oyster plates it was hard to narrow it down for this guide but I like the delicate pink and green coloring on this one as it reminds me of the one my grandmother has. A few runner ups that almost made the list were: this green one with a lemon detail at the center and this pretty floral yellow option.
- Condiment Trio Server: The best part of oysters is hands down the condiments: cocktail sauce, horseradish, lemon juice, mignonette, you name it. Serve up all the necessary accouterments for oyster eating with this silver condiment trio tray.
- Cocktail Fork: If you’ve seen my tortoiseshell lover guide, you know I like tortoiseshell, this cocktail fork made the cut for that reason and also it’s a nice alternative to the silver oyster forks and can be used for olives and more.
- Champagne Bucket: Wash down those oyster with a glass of champagne that will be conveniently cooling in this ice bucket. I also am a fan of this wavy edge ice bucket with silver pearl edging.
