With the end of January just around the corner, I am already prepping for February, which includes planning what color I will be painting my nails (thinking pink with red hearts) and organizing my social calendar. Every year my sister hosts a Galentine’s day brunch and this year my friend is also hosting a small Galentine’s day dinner party. A post on clothing for these event is to come, but for now I have pulled together some festive entertaining-ware and decor to keep your home festive.
- Earrings: So this may also show up on my outfit guide but I love these and they make a great gift for your girlfriends. I bought a heart shaped pair of beaded earrings from this shop a few years ago and they are super cute and make a great statement.
- Heart Shaped Mug: I’ve seen these mugs around on Instagram and keep saying I don’t need them but I keep thinking about them so I may have to buy a few for making coffee or tea, I use mugs daily so these would definitely get some use.
- Needlepoint Pillows: There are two of these pictured so linking the second one here. My sister is the type to change out her pillows seasonally and these are something I imagine her liking. I also like that they are needlepoint so they have a little more heft and quality to them then some of the printed pillow covers you find on Amazon.
- Squiggle Handle Mug: Why another mug on the same list? Because we like OPTIONS!
- Raffia Ice Bucket: Maybe you’re a person like me who has to barware for all occasions, or maybe you’re normal; either way no judgements and I am loving this festive raffia ice bucket. It’s also not so specifically “Valentine’s day-ish” that it can’t be used for other occasions.
- Heart Shaped Bowl: Serve up your snacks in these heart shaped bowls to stay on theme.
- Dish Towel: I’m a collector of cute tea towels so I can freshen up my kitchen, my go to place to look is typically Anthropologie, but Target also has some really cute and affordable ones.
- Cake Stand:
- Lip Gloss: I love this line of plumping lip glosses from Buxom. I haven’t done enough extensive comparison to see if it actually plumps, but it does give a slight tingly feel. My favorite part about these glosses is that the colors are slightly sheer so you don’t have to worry about uneven fading or getting the outline perfect. I like to layer these glosses over a lipstick as well to make a new color. Pictured is the color ‘sangria’.
- Socks: You can never have too many socks and these Kate Spade heart print ones make a cute gift to any sock-loving friends.
- Table Runner: Want to dress up your table? Adding a table runner down the middle is an easy way to do this without the formality (or upkeep) of using a full table cloth. They also protect your table from getting scratched if you have any sort of centerpiece.
- Dried Bouquet: A floral arrangement has always been one of my favorite ways to bring color and life to a room, this flower arrangement from Urban Stems (check your area to see if they deliver) is a break from the traditional by being a dried bouquet but I think it’s so cool and pretty. You also don’t have to worry about maintaining fresh water in the vase and they last longer than fresh flowers.
