Year in and year out, I find one of the trickiest people to shop for is my mother. I want to find her the perfect thing and consistently struggle with what that thing is. I spent some time pulling together gifts inspired by my mother and things I think she would like.
- Jo Malone Perfume: A high-quality perfume is a great gift as long as you know the recipient’s scent preferences. I love both this scent and their Nashi blossom scent, both of which I believe are limited edition.
- Smeg Espresso Machine: If there is one thing I know my mother loves, it’s coffee and sometimes you need a cup on-demand. We also both love Smeg appliances because they are pretty enough to leave siting out on the counter. If you prefer a drip cup or need to serve a crowd, they also have a standard coffee maker.
- Dyson Hairdryer: Do I need anymore explanation on this one? I am fascinated by their claims that their technology is a safer way to apply heat to hair.
- Lip Balm: Hydrate those lip with this luxurious balm, a necessity in the dry winter season. I also like the minimalist packaging that will look nice on a vanity tray.
- Cocktail Napkins: Perfect for the mom that is hosting the holidays this season.
- Birdies: My mom has these in black so I know they are mother approved. These transcend generations and are just as beloved by me and my sister as they are by my mother and grandmother. Plus they are so soft and cozy. If you like these, check out their other styles as well.
- Moisturizer: Tatcha is one of those game changer brands for me. Their Liquid Silk Canvas face primer is as soft as it sounds. They also make moisturizers for all skin types be it oily, dry, or combination and we all know moisturizer is one of the keys to youthful skin.
- Assorted Tea: If coffee is for the morning, then tea is great for unwinding in the evening. This assorted set of loose teas comes with an infuser ball for steeping that tea and the pretty box makes it perfect for gift giving.
- Crease Release Spray: I think anyone that has ever ironed will agree with me when I say that anything that keeps me from having to break out an ironing board is a life saver. This crease release spray by The Laundress is perfect for removing small wrinkles in clothing. Just spray it on the item and give it a minute to work that magic. Plus it gives the garment that just laundered smell.
- Chain Necklace: Chain necklaces are very on trend, I love this one because it has a little more interest to it plus some gems incorporated for a little sparkle. Plus chain necklaces are easy to layer.
- Waterdrop Water Bottle: While I prefer a more insulated bottle, my mom loves her waterdrop bottle. The starter kit comes with ‘drop’ tablets in different natural flavors that encourage you to stay hydrated. The best hydration starts from within.
