I’ll admit this gift guide is a bit niche, but one of my current obsessions is tortoise shell so I rounded up a bunch of tortoiseshell printed and inspired items.
- Cheese Knives: Not a want but a need. My family and I are big fans of cheese boards so these would be put to good use all year round.
- Wine Goblets: These may be called the leopard stem glasses, but to me these are definitely more tortoise print so they make the list. Use for wine or just to dress up the water glasses at your table.
- Serving Set: These go perfectly with the tortoise cheese knives and are perfect for the home entertainer. Dress up that salad bowl with this gorgeous serving set.
- Vases: This pair of vases are too cute to pass up. I like how the lighter color complements the traditional brown tortoise shell pattern. Perfect by themselves or with a couple of flower stems to brighten up your home.
- Candle: This could never be lit and I’d still be happy with it, but hints of jasmine and incense make this a warm and inviting scent. It also comes in two sizes for all your needs.
- Jug: This vintage inspired jug is a great accent piece for any table, matching stemless glasses are also available. If you aren’t crazy about the long neck, this wide neck jug is perfect for sangria or other drinks that need to be stirred.
- Drinking Glasses: Another item that has been on my wishlist for awhile are these glasses from CB2. I love that they are different from your typical drinking glasses and would be easy to incorporate with other glassware.
- Claw Clip: This hair clip combines two of my favorite things: tortoiseshell and checkerboard patterns. Plus large clips are super in right now and by shopping through Etsy you are supporting a small business (win, win in my opinion)
- Ice Bucket: Dior made tortoise shell motif ice bucket once upon a time that can still sometimes be found on 1stDibs and while it is beautiful it isn’t exactly the most accessible item in terms of cost. After falling in love with the Dior ice bucket I went on the hunt to find something more affordable and came upon this Ballard version which does the trick without breaking the bank.
- Flatware: Definitely a splurge, but oh so pretty. I have been really into bistro style flatware lately and I love this set that marries the Parisian style with tortoise shell.
- Sunglasses: I am a big fan of Warby Parker sunglasses and this oversized rounded rectangle is the perfect amount of practical and glamorous.
