I strongly believe one should never show up to a party empty handed even if it is as simple as flowers or a box of chocolates. Read the gift guide below to find some more ideas for hostess gifts or gifts for friends that love to entertain.
- Diptyque Candle: While candles get a lot of hate for being an unoriginal gift, there is a reason they’re popoular. They are easy to find, come in all price ranges, and smell good, what’s not to love? Elevate your candle game with one of these Diptyque candles that not only smell incredible but also look luxurious whether they are sitting on a kitchen counter or adorning a powder room.
- Colorful Cheese Knives: No party is complete in my book without a cheese and charcuterie board. For your friend that loves to entertain, these “fromagophile” cheese knives are a perfect gift. The set of 6 knives makes sure you have a knife from the softest whipped goat cheese to the hardest parmesan. What’s even better? The box they come in tells you which knife to use with which type of cheese.
- Marble and Acacia Cheese Board: A cheeseboard also makes a great gift and can be paired with a set of cheese knives. This marble and acacia wood board is not only pretty but the shapes makes two little handles that make it easy to transport from the kitchen to the living room.
- Marble Coasters: I saw these coasters at a local home design shop in my town and fell in love. I love the light greens, beiges, and blush colors that streak through the marble and because they are natural stone each one is different meaning each set is unique. If green isn’t your thing, they also have them in a white marble.
- Embroidered Cocktail Napkins: I’ve been eyeing these embroidered cocktail napkins for month and have just been waiting to pull the trigger on them. These caviar ones are so cute and just the right amount of bougie. I also love these oyster and lemon embroidered ones.
- Luster Champagne Coupes: These luster champagne glasses are even prettier in person. They refract light meaning they shift different colors in the light and give off a beautiful sparkle in the light. The gold rim is a nice touch as well. Pop the champagne and pour yourself a glass in these!
- Champagne: You can never go wrong with a bottle of bubbly, but a bottle of Veuve Clicquot is particularly nice. No further explanation needed.
- Bitter Honey Cookbook: Chef Letitia Clark shares amazing recipes from Sardinia in her cookbook, Bitter Honey. This makes a great gift for a hostess that likes Mediterranean Cuisine or just likes to collect pretty books to keep on their shelf.
- Zebra Marble Board + Cheese Knives: I saw this cheese board and knife set at a market in DC and was in love. The black and white pattern gives them a modern edge while the stripe of wood adds some textural interest and warmth.
- Enameled Wood Serving Set: The glazed interior of this wood salad bowl with matching serving utensils gives it an edge over the competition and makes a great addition to anyones stock of entertaining ware. I love this mint color but it also comes in a white. These seem to be the only two colors right now but I’ve seen them in pink and peach in the past.
