Welcome to my first post! Like with a TV show, I’ve decided to title this first post the ‘pilot’ of my blog. I want to offer a brief intro to the blog, but mostly just want to test out the site. I’m {very} slowly getting the hang of WordPress, but still have oodles to learn. When brainstorming a title for my blog I wanted something that was broad enough to encompass anything I might want to do, but specific enough to be personal. I also wanted something tongue in cheek that incorporated who I am. Working as a designer, I spend a lot of time thinking about the overall feel of a space and how things come together. Personally, I am drawn to things that look cohesive but not too match-y and collected but not too cluttered or jumbled. This lead me to the idea of creating a ‘curated’ environment. And Char (pronounced like ‘care’), well that’s me! So Curated with Char combines the concept of something that is carefully put together with a guide on how to pronounce my name {and I love things with a dual purpose}.
